*Empowering the Next Generation: Support Quality Education at Alusinnah Memorial Academy*

Alusinnah Memorial Academy is a primary and secondary institution dedicated to serving the community of Rogbangba, near Hastings. For years, this region has faced significant barriers to accessible, high-quality education.

Our History and Mission

The school’s journey began in 2009 when the property, formerly an orphanage, was purchased by Ruth Isatu Sims to preserve it as a place of learning. Since its inception, I have been deeply committed to its success—shipping furniture, providing supplies, and subsidizing operational costs.

In 2015, facing immense financial pressure, the school was at risk of permanent closure. Recognizing the dire need for educational infrastructure in Rogbangba, I stepped in to take full responsibility for its operations. I demolished a personal property to build a temporary structure, ensuring that the children of our community would not be left behind.

A Legacy of Hope

I renamed the institution Alusinnah Memorial Academy in honor of our family’s twins, Alusine and Sinnah. Following the tragic loss of Alusine, the school has become a living memorial to his spirit and a symbol of hope for every child we serve. Guided by our motto, “Quality Education for All,” we believe that a child’s potential should never be limited by their family's financial circumstances.

Our Current Challenge

While we have achieved remarkable milestones—including the construction of a three-story building (currently in progress) and a secure perimeter fence—the financial demand of running a school without external organizational support is unsustainable.

To complete our mission and provide a modern learning environment, we are seeking partnerships and donations to fund:

Infrastructure: Completion of the main building and construction of a water well and playground.

Resources: Classroom furniture, textbooks, and the establishment of a computer lab.

Staffing: Consistent support for teacher salaries to retain quality educators.

Sanitation: Improved health and hygiene facilities for our students.
